| Introduction to MCNdb |
| posted by Mads Hjorth 2003-10-24 11:57:22.0 Here is a short introduction to the use of MCNdb. The database holds information about patients with balanced chromosomal rearrangement. The primary use of the database is to look up patient by searching or browsing cases. · Browsing allows user to see a list of all available and readable cases. Optionally the list can be narrowed down by applying filters on different fields i.e. all cases with a karyotype with a Y-chromosome and a breakpoint on the p-arm of chromosome 3 display the trait with "mental" in the name. · Searching allows users to search across different data types using a text index of all the data. Searching on the term "mental" will give a list of all occurrences of the word in publication abstracts, center names, case descriptions etc. We hope you will enjoy using the database and encourage you to provide feedback to help us make the database more suitable for your needs. You can find a short introduction to the user of MCNdb here. |
